7 Steps to Sending Your
Holiday Business Cards

Christmas is approaching again. You might be wondering what kind of holiday marketing you will use to promote your company. More than any marketing strategy, remembering people and telling them that you are thinking of them on this special day is a great way of making their Christmas special. How does that relate to your business? Well, why not send out business Christmas cards to your partners, clients, would-be partners, and customers who have helped and will be helping your company?

A business Christmas card is simply a customized card with the logo or name of your company, signifying that the greeting is coming from your company; and or a ready-made card in the store, where you are going to write a message from your company.

Sending out business holiday cards is like hitting four birds with one stone. Why? Because of this, you will improve your relationship with your current business partners and clienteles, you attract new customers, you let the old ones know you still exist, and you show appreciation to the people and clients who have been supportive to your business.

So, how do you send out holiday cards for your business?

First, write down the names of the people who deserve the cards. Make sure they still have the same home address and that their names are spelled correctly.

Second, don't get too stressed out with the design. You don't need to order flashy cards with fancy artwork. In fact, buying pre-designed cards are better if you don't have time. But it is more advisable if you shop for cards 2 or 3 months before the holidays. When you shop for cards, you need to spend time picking the right cards to convey professionalism yet still make it seem personal.

Third, be personal to the recipients. Write your own message even if it's short. Sign the card with your pen's ink. This is the most elegant way you can send a company holiday cards to people.

Fourth, stay on the safe side. In this case, customized company greeting cards are safe; but not if you buy ones with pre-written messages that try to attempt at some kind of humor. Make sure you don't offend anybody with the cards you will give.

Fifth, handwrite the home address of the people you are sending cards to. This gives an impression that you care and you are being personal when writing them. You can actually hire a company to handwrite the address so don't worry about the time it would take to do it.

Sixth, don't forget to address each person properly. At the back of the envelope, write Mr., Mrs, or Ms. and not by the person's first name - it's just being professional, polite and formal.

Finally, mail each card to each person's home address. Be sure to include the spouse's name if available. If you are sending a non-customized card, you can include your business card. Alternatively, you can send a business holiday card to a person's work address.

So there you go. Sending holiday cards can make a huge impact on your business. Just make sure you follow the tips to get the best results.
